Making Spirits Bright
With the holidays right around the corner, we are all busy making Merry. I love the music, the lights and all the sparkle. Even though I have the best of intentions, each year I always ‘plan’ on making some special treats, but find myself running out of time (and, let’s be real, energy).
This year, I needed to get strategic.
Instead of having 20 different ideas (and accomplishing none of them), I decided to apply the daily technique of “top 3.” This means that no matter what else I put on my “to do” list, these 3 things are top priority.
So, what top 3 treats made it to the list?
#1: This one was an easy choice. Pretty, festive and did someone say CHEESE?? Yes please!
#2: Warm Pears are a delicious addition to any holiday dinner. They are easy, look oh-so elegant, and again CHEESE!
#3 Because everything is better with Prosecco.
You might have also noted that I used a clever shopping technique. Each of these recipes use 2 of the same ingredients: Oranges & dried Cranberries. This means, not only do they compliment one another, they also make shopping quicker & more economical by pairing down your list.
You’re welcome. 😊
All this orange made me think of 3 more of my favorite things.
Orange Sea Glass in a beautiful stacking ring or hoop earring set adds that touch of color to our darker winter wardrobe. These glowing center earrings are orange Garnets (January birthstone). They all remind me of a warm fire and a glass of smooth Burbon. Cozy up!
I challenge you to make your spirits bright this season with your Top 3 treats. Then, put on your SS Magpie jewelry and go sparkle.
Happy Holidays!
