Vegvisir Nordic Compass 2-part Necklace

A Vegvisir is an ancient Nordic compass symbol meaning "wayfinder" in Icelandic.  it has been written that "the wearer of this symbol will not lose his way during storms and bad weather, even if he does not know of his destination."   I was inspired to design this as a 2-part necklace by a friend who was undergoing a life saving surgery. She asked for a piece that she could share with a loved one so that they could draw strength from one another. Something to provide a  connection even when they were apart. A symbol of their everlasting love.
