How long does it take an in-stock item to ship and what does it cost?

In-stock items ship Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We ship via USPS Priority ($8.95) or USPS Ground ($4.50). We provide full tracking and insurance. Shipping via Fed-X is available upon request. The cost is determined at the time of shipping.

If you live within 15 miles of White Stone, Virginia, I'm happy to deliver your item at no additional charge.

What is "Sea Glass"?

Natural Sea Glass starts out as refuse glass that has been tossed into the ocean. This was a common practice for glass foundries from 1800 - 1950's. As the glass breaks apart from the motion of the waves, the small pieces of glass get tumbled and smoothed by the sand and sea.

Beach Glass is the term used for glass that is formed in the same manner, but in a lake or river.

"Cultured" Sea Glass is manmade and is not considered authentic or valuable.

Where do you source your Stones and Sea Glass?

All the Sea Glass used in SS Magpie designs is natural Sea Glass. Some is hand-picked along the eastern sea shores of the United states. The more vibrant colors come from small, cottage industry sellers around the world. We only purchase glass from verified natural sea glass sellers.

The stones and Pearls are sourced direct from cultured pearl farms and lapidaries in the United States, Dominican Republic (for our Larimar) and India. Every effort is made to source only the highest quality from ethically mined partners.

What is your return policy?

You may return or exchange items within 14 days from the date you received your purchase. Returns must be received in original condition (unworn, unwashed, unaltered) with the tags attached. Returns must be accompanied with a copy of the original receipt or invoice.

SS Magpie is not responsible for return shipping charges and we do not refund initial purchase shipping costs.  Once we receive the return package, your refund will be processed within 7 business days. You will be notified through the e-mail address provided on the purchase.

Please note: Custom orders & purchases of SALE items are final and are not eligible for return or exchange.  

Do you repair jewelry?

I stand behind my designs so if you ever have a problem with one of your purchases, please give me the opportunity to correct it.

I do not repair jewelry from other companies.

Can I request a longer chain for a necklace or bracelet?

The standard length (unless otherwise specified) for chains is 18" for necklaces and 7" for bracelets.

An extender chain can be added to any style necklace or bracelet with a lobster style clasp upon request at no additional charge.

Longer chain lengths are available by request. Pricing per inch for the additional length is dependent on the chain style and will be quoted prior to purchase.

How do I know what size ring to order?

There are several methods to determine your ring size.

  • Measure your finger in MM and use an online conversion for US ring sizes.

  • Request a free ring-sizing tool that I'll send you via mail.
